Famous People With Bipolar Disorder
BIPOLAR CELEBRITIES
There are many famous people with bipolar disorder. Bipolar celebrities have enriched our lives for decades. Here is a list from a-z of just some of those gifted people.
Bipolar Psychosis and the Spiritual Connection.
BIPOLAR PSYCHOSIS
I found this video on YouTube, and found it very insightful. I have experienced everything that this man describes within the "typical bipolar psychosis episode." I found it very comforting to know that I am not the only one who has gone through this, or felt that suppressing it with medication was wrong. I hope you find it helpful as well.
Anti Psychotics Causing Brain Damage?
ANTIPSYCHOTICS
Anti psychotics have been prescribed for decades to people who have been diagnosed with bipolar and anxiety disorders.
There have been several debates regarding the effectiveness of these medications on the symptoms of these disorders. Since we are all individuals, it stands to reason that beginning medication would have a different outcome for each of us.My outcome was not a pleasant one. They did not make me capable of functioning, and they did cause terrible problems for me.
So I have added this video because I feel that this woman's opinion is correct.
Antidepressant Induced Mania
ANTIDEPRESSANT INDUCED MANIA
has been reported by some people taking prescription antidepressants. This phenomenon has been reported as contributing to both suicidal and homicidal behavior in people who are prescribed certain medications for depression symptoms.
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding depression drugs and the mania that some people experience while taking them. In some cases it has been reported that it was the result of misdiagnosis or the wrong combination of prescription drugs.
I have no authority to officially comment on this matter, but I found this video of a news report on the topic that I found very interesting.
An Interview with a Woman who Has Bipolar Disorder
This
BIPOLAR INTERVIEW
is conducted with a woman who was diagnosed and is being treated with medication. What I found most interesting about this video, is that the woman seems to be very under control and doesn't seem to be suffering many side effects from the medication she is on.
That is interesting to me because until I saw this video, I hadn't met or seen anyone that was successfully treating bipolar disorder with medication alone.
This interview is part 4 in a series. the rest of these bipolar videos can be found on YouTube.
Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal. Weaning yourself off of prescription medications.
PSYCHIATRIC DRUG WITHDRAWAL
can be a very intense experience for anyone suffering through it. The pharmaceutical community in my experience, has a tendency to downplay the addictive nature of these drugs, and often make it difficult for a person to quit using these potentially harmful substances.
This bipolar video was posted by a former pharmaceutical sales woman who found herself addicted to Xanax. She is very candid about her experience, and sheds some light on the subject of weaning yourself safely from these drugs.
